Small update….

My my!!! long time no see!

more than a year and a half… Still can’t believe how time flies… I’ve been quite quiet here i should say 😉

A quick update to let you know what I’m up to is indeed in need haha!

So I’m still working with Cul de Sac but less than what i was doing since… I went back to school!!! Oh yeah!

I have done a semester so far (5 to go!) and I’m in nursing school and loviiiing every part of it!

It feels so good to have found something i do love and just can’t wait to start working (but studies first!). It’s quite an organization with 3 kids, the house and the school work but it’s going smoothly.

Rachel is growing fast and in first grade now (she’s 7). She played soccer all summer and she will start dancing lessons soon and just can’t wait for it 🙂

Camille is now 12 and in grade 6 and wants to go to International program in high school. She is still scouting and so is Julien. She is growing to be a fine woman with such an easy going way!

Julien is now 10 and in grade 5. He loves soccer, gaming and playing with friends.  He’s talking as much as he used to hehe!

I still love to photograph but don’t have much time and inspiration  now since I’m very tired with school and everything, but once in a while I’m lucky to capture something special 😉

2012 in review

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for Cul de Sac! I thought it was pretty fun to look at and that maybe you would be interested in it too, so here’s my humble little report 🙂

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 11,000 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 18 years to get that many views.

Click here to see the complete report.

Melting pot!

I had a good new this week… A really good one, the kind that makes you go happy dance all over the house!

I won first place for the photo challenge!!!!!!!!! Can you believe that?? (you can see the pics here) Someone could object that we were only 8 to participate but I don’t care! I won a 75$ gift certificate for the fancy photo boutique in Montréal… Portrait lens, you’ll be mine soon!

Besides that, my stuff will be now carried by the nice gift boutique that opened 2 minutes from my place 😉 don’t mind the poor quality of the picture, I was in a hurry lol! They even sold a pair of mitts!

Someone asked me (Hi Jennifer!) to put an after picture of my cleaned sewing room 😉

How long it will stay that well organized remains to be seen though…

As you can see too, I had some fun with picmonkey and made a new Xmas banner for the blog… I was kind of tired of the one year old one.

And I thought you might be interested to see how I dispose of my “fabrics” when I’m done cutting…

how I cut my stuff...

Here, you have in ready to sew form about 8 necktie bags… so there isn’t lots of threw away materials…

I’m busy working on the party I’ll be having for the 2 girls birthdays.  They are hosting a tea party so this is gonna be fun! I’ll take nice pictures too 😉 so today is cupcake and black forest cake in the making… Black forest will be for my son’s promise with the scouts tomorrow 🙂 I think we can say we are busy lol!

Maybe I should have put a warning at the beginning of the post saying ” melting pot” post! But sometimes it’s how I feel anyway 😉

Moo

Have you heard of Moo ??! There were a bit of a craze on Etsy about them… They make plain awesome business cards, post cards, stickers and such! I mean… really awesome!

And who got some pretty darn cute mini moo cards in the mail??!  you bet!

My Moo mini cards!!!

I received awhile ago the Etsy newsletter  about packaging sold items, and it got me curious (i now seldom read those newsletters…) and in that email, it offered a deal with Moo and Etsy, to try some mini cards for dirt cheap. I jumped on that occasion and got me some yummy cards 🙂 Happy!

My Moo mini cards!!!

They ARE great looking! nice print, vibrant colors, thick paper and satin finish. With all my infos at the back what could I ask for more?! (and I forgot: speedy delivery!)

My Moo mini cards!!!

You can add at no additional charges your own pictures… and they also offer to make the 100 mini cards with 100 of your pictures! (not in my deal though)

My Moo mini cards!!!

Guess what will now accompanied my shop  sales?! A Moo Mini Card !

They sent me a link to offer my blog readers a deal too! if you CLICK HERE you could get a 10% discount on your first purchase! (And I’ll get some Moo money too!) Go and see what they have to offer 🙂

Pinteresting: No sugar oat drops

A new recipe! Gluten-dairy-egg-sugar free…. cookies!

Pinteresting: no sugar oat drops

I tried those yesterday night, as I was craving something sweet without the guilt.

YUMMY!

If you like coconut 🙂 the 2 youngest loved it too. Not that much for hubby as he thought it was tasting too healthy for cookies 😉

Pinteresting: no sugar oat drops
I froze a bunch to keep for later. And they are holding quite well so they’ll be good for transportation snacks too.

I used the cool cookie maker my friend Kim sent me with the Bento stuff… they were a breeze to make with that!

Find the recipe here!

Pinteresting: no sugar oat drops

  • 1/2 c. à thé de tout épice (all spice)
  • 1/4 tasse d’amandes moulues

It’s the number of years we have been married…

our 10 years anniversary!

When I married, I knew it was going to be “until death do us part”. I knew he was the right man. And still do.

We were though and we hung on together….We had hard times. We fought. And still love.

our 10 years anniversary!

We had happiness. We had magic. We were blessed. And still are.

Just wanna grew old together!

Love you Hon!

our 10 years anniversary!

(I was 6 months preggo on those pictures! yep, got pregnant 2 months after the big proposal…)
